Gaviscon Relief Tablets bring fast, soothing relief from the burning pain of heartburn and the discomfort of indigestion. Helps protect inflamed oesophagael tissue - helps prevent further inflammation by forming a physical barrier to reflux. The alginate 'raft' helps to keep gastric contents in place, thereby reducing the likelihood of these irritating the delicate lining of the oesophagus.DoseAdults: 2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times a day. A dose may be increased to a maximum of 4 tablets if required.Children 6-12 years: 1-2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily.Tablets should be thoroughly chewed and swallowed when they become sticky. This may be followed by a drink of water, if desired. Chewing may be helped if the tablets are first broken and taken a little at a time. This product may be less effective if you have decreased amount of gastric acid produced in your stomach.
