The manukavantage™ Manuka Honey & Propolis Throat Lozenges provide soothing effective relief from the symtoms of sore throats and irritating coughs. They contain the combined action of the antibacterial properties of Active Manuka AAH (Antibacterial, Antioxidant Honey) 650+ plus natural immune supporting Propolis.
Propolis is an amazing product and has been used around the wrold for many centuries. Bees make Propolis by gathering resin or sap from plants and combining it with enzymes. They use in two ways, firstly to reinforce the hive itself, and secondly to protect the hive from bacterial and viral infection. For this reason Propolis is known as 'nature's best defence'.
Propolis contains protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids (which act as antioxidants). It has also been found that Propolis harbours both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects, therefore making it perfect for use in medicinal products targeting sore throats and colds such as these lozenges.
