General InformationGastrolyte Jelly-Ice Blocks are ready to eat for rapid rehydration. Gastrolyte Jelly-Ice blocks contain a balanced solution of glucose and electrolytes that helps rehydrate the body quickly during dehydrating illnesses such as diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, colds and flu.
Dehydration can happen during times of illness. The new Gastrolyte Jelly-Ice Blocks can be eaten at room temperature right out of the pack, refrigerated or frozen - ready for when you need it most. They contain no artificial flavours and are suitable for the family.
Children are more susceptible to dehydration due to their small body weight and inability to communicate the severity of their symptoms. For these reasons parents must be extra vigilant.
Signs of mild dehydration include dry or sticky mouth, lethargy, decreased urinary output (or darker in colour), sunken eyes, sunken fontanelle (soft spot on infant's head) and headache.
No added yeast, gluten, lactose, artificial flavours, dairy products or animal derived products.
WarningsSeek medical advice if diarrhoea lasts for more than 6 hours in babies under 6 months old, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children 3-6 years and 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.
